How the Porto Card works

The Porto Card is the official tourist card of the city of Porto, available for 24, 48, 72 or 96 hours. We explain how it works in this section:

    Buy Porto Card

    You can buy the Porto Card online and collect it from the tourist information offices at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport and Porto Cathedral. Alternatively, you can buy it directly at the Porto Welcome Center or at the Trindade Tourism Office. It is available for 1 day (24h), 2 days (48h), 3 days (72h) or 4 days (96h), with or without public transport.

    Pick up your Porto Card

    After your arrival in Porto, you can pick up the Porto Card at one of the official issuing points: at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, Porto Cathedral, the Porto Welcome Center or the Trindade Tourism Office. Bring your voucher or proof of purchase with you and exchange it for the Porto Card. You will also receive access to the QR code guide with information on all partners.

    Activate card

    The Porto Card is activated from the date and time indicated on the back of the card. You will receive separate Andante Tour tickets for public transport, which are activated the first time they are validated. Important: For 2-day cards you will receive two 24-hour tickets, for 4-day cards one 72-hour ticket plus one 24-hour ticket. Do not validate both tickets on the same day!

    Simply show the Porto Card at the partner institutions to get free entry or discounts. You get free access to 5 museums and 50% discount on 10 monuments, plus up to 50% discount on tours, restaurants and cultural activities. Each card can only be used once per free entry or discount.

    Use public transportation

    The transportation option gives you unlimited access to the metro, light rail and STCP buses in the Porto area. Validate your Andante Tour ticket on every journey and when changing trains. Please note: Tram and funicular are not included. Tickets are personal and non-transferable.
